"Emotions change how we see the world and how we interpret the actions of others" (Paul Ekman).
Abana's expressionistic and figurative portraits are often composed of bright colors and strong contrasts. They are rich in visual opulence yet offer ample open space for interpretation. This series of paintings is a selection from the 15 works he exhibited in Cologne, Germany, during his first solo exhibition outside of Denmark, with New Afro.
